Number 2 (jan31/13)
Goose- snow and stick. The child's lawnmower below the goose adds a bit of danger: Look out goose! That lawnmower's going to get you and play annoying music at you...
So a couple of my friends in the not-too-distant past have suggested to me that I consider starting a sketchblog, and post my drawings on a regular basis. I have been doing this recently(if by recent, you mean last September), but in a casual, haphazard sort of way. This being the New Year, and a new year being a good time to start new challenging endeavors, I thought I might elaborate(embellish? bedazzle?) on that idea, and take it a little further. Why not do a sketch every day for the next year? A good friend of mine did this successfully with her photography, and I would like to do something similar with drawing. I have even made up a cool set of rules I absolutely must follow, or I get disqualified, just like in the Olympics.
1. Sketches do not have to be on paper, or be permanent in any way. Is it a drawing? Did I do it? Then it qualifies.
2. Sketches can be made with any material I want to use. They can also be Photoshopped, or in my case, Gimped.
3. I will post, along with the sketch, any relevant info that you might find interesting, like materials used, location, funny anecdotes, etc. (Funny anecdotes are the best. I hope I get some good ones.)
4. And lastly, they will be numbered, so both of us can keep track(meaning both you and I. If there is more than one person reading this blog, they can keep track too.)
So without further ado...
Number 1 (jan30/13)
Cloud with Lightning- marker, hilighter on paper. I made it stormier than it actually is by playing with the levels in gimp.
